Earlier today, publisher Electronic Arts and the Battlefield Studios stable released Season 5 of the hugely successful Battlefield 6.

Same as with every other season, this means that a new Battle Pass is available as well, which means new cosmetics and items to earn while you’re playing.

With Battlefield 6's first-year anniversary inching closer and closer, EA and the rest of the Battlefield Studios have seen it fit to mark this occasion with a celebration in-game.

While that should be met with excitement for a lot of players, that drive to complete challenges and Battle Pass tiers has been dampened by some of the rewards that are clearly created by AI.

Battlefield 6 Players Are Calling Season 5 Cosmetics “AI Slop”

First off is an operator skin available in the Battle Pass that hilariously has five handguns (of the same kind!) decorated around the character:

I’m not a solider or a highly-skilled operative, but I don’t think having four handguns in front of your chest is the right way of doing it, no?

Not only that, but there’s also another skin that has “Secuty” written on the sleeve instead of, y’know, Security.

I could be wrong and Secuty could be the name of a Spec Ops team in some country, or perhaps it’s the character’s last name? But chances are, this is Security, and whatever AI the developers used for this managed to overlook it.

Even gun charms aren’t spared from the dreaded AI slop of cosmetic design. Battlefield community member DemidRomanov pointed out how this “Drawing Dead” weapon charm is clearly made by AI.

The BF community member also made a list of things AI got wrong:

Where’s the hole for the charm to hold on the gun?? how exactly does it hang off a gun?
Weird skull shape or is it just me?
The barrel and handguard are somewhat bent?
What’s that on the space where carry handle is supposed to be? or is this how ai messed up and applied a carry handle to the king’s outfit?
Front sight along with gasblock (given we have a normal, stock gun here) gone?
Two trigger guards????
Count the fingers. is the thumb gone for good or does the king have 6 fingers or…??
do you fellas remember how much have you paid for this game? i personally bought it on release and i feel… you know… weird

I can’t say I’m surprised at this, though it is disappointing to see how there’s not even proper quality control done on these. Chances are, there are more evidence of AI work in Season 5’s Battle Pass, but we’ll let you discover the rest out.
