‘Tis the season, and coincidentally, publisher moreblueberries aka Elliot Davis has a new BackerKit campaign for its vampiric TTRPG card game, To Feel Your Warmth. Already, the campaign has exceeded its initial goal after just a day, but as you’d expect, there are plenty of stretch goals left.

Shipping next fall, To Feel Your Warmth is a game about two people in love, one of whom has been cursed with vampirism, and in the final hours before sunrise. This two player card game is played on opposite sides of an open doorway, creating an invisible threshold that cannot be crossed until the game has ended.

The game centres around a conversation about love, trust, and the decision to move forward together or say goodbye forever. Players take turns drawing cards, asking questions, and processing this change together. As the sun rises, it is up to the human player to decide whether to invite the vampire inside.

The game begins with the first card drawn, with the rules contained on cards that will guide you from open to setup to gameplay. The deck contains Prompt cards, which have players asking questions to one another to define their relationship, their character, and the story’s trajectory. There are also three special types of Prompt cards that has each player read silently, only speaking if they choose to do so.

Ultimately, the game continues until the human decides to let the vampire inside, or when three Timer cards are drawn, indicating the sun has risen.

Pledge levels can range from a PDF version of the game, a signed physical copy, to even having a play session with the game’s creator, Elliot Davis. As for the stretch goals, they include additional writers and artists to join and contribute to the game with their own vampire mythos and illustrations.
