Nomadic Games and Rising Tide Publishing announced that wuxia hack-and-slash title Burning Sword: Death Sun will release on Steam Early Access on November 17, 2026. The initial version will include five stages from its first two of five planned chapters, with five main bosses and two secret bosses. The game is currently expected to spend six months in Early Access.

Burning Sword: Death Sun is set in 12th-century China and follows Zhang Yixiang, leader of the Crimson Dust Demon Sect, after he is cast down and nearly killed by the Elder of the Northern Mountain, Gao Tianqi. Zhang Yixiang must fight his way back to him, taking on various foes along the way. The game will include a mix of linear action sections and roguelite areas where Yixiang can improve his skills and power.
