AWOL Vision LuxVision 将4K 120Hz游戏带入120英寸屏幕
AWOL Vision LuxVision Brings 4K 120Hz Gaming To A 120-Inch Screen
Gaming on a giant projector screen has always sounded great in theory, but historically there have been compromises in refresh rate, latency, or installation flexibility. AWOL Vision is aiming to knock down several of those barriers with LuxVision, its new ultra-short-throw projector now available for pre-order ahead of a November 3 launch.
For gamers, the headline feature is support for 4K at 120Hz from input through output. AWOL Vision also claims 1ms input lag at 4K 120Hz, along with support for Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode, and Dolby Vision Gaming. That combination puts LuxVision closer to what players expect from a modern gaming display, just on a much larger scale.
The projector uses a 0.18:1 ultra-short-throw ratio and can produce a 120-inch image from 7.5 inches away. AWOL also says LuxVision is the first UST projector to offer optional vertical lens shift, providing a 142-152% offset range without scaling or cropping the image. That could make installation considerably easier for anyone trying to work around existing furniture or a fixed projection screen.
Brightness is rated at 6,000 ISO lumens, while the RGB triple-laser light source covers 110% of Rec.2020. Other home theater features include a claimed 10,000:1 native contrast ratio with IRIS, Dynamic IRIS, Enhanced Black Level technology, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced support.
Sports fans and multitaskers can add a four-channel HDMI Multiview option for $500. The upgrade allows up to four sources to appear on the screen simultaneously, which sounds particularly useful during weekends when several games decide they all need to happen at once.
LuxVision carries a $5,999 MSRP and launches November 3. Reservations are open through November 2 with a $100 deposit, which unlocks AWOL Vision’s Super Early Bird benefits and a launch offer pairing the projector with eligible Fresnel or floor-rising ALR screens. Standard finishes include Eclipse Platinum, Boreal Oak, and Champagne Walnut. Buyers wanting something more personalized can add a Custom CMF finish for another $1,000.
At $5,999, LuxVision clearly isn’t aiming at the average gaming setup. But for players already considering a premium home theater, getting 4K/120Hz gaming on a screen measured in feet instead of inches is an intriguing proposition.
