Riot Games has revealed Hush, a new VALORANT Duelist from Guangdong, China. The official RISE AND FALL agent trailer describes her as a “reality-bending Duelist” who can “rewrite the rules of the battlefield.” Riot’s video description also gives the release window: Hush is available in Season 26 // ACT VI.

The source confirms her name, origin, role, theme, and act but gives no ability names, costs, cooldowns, ultimate points, map interactions, or gameplay demonstration.

What Riot has confirmed about Hush

Hush joins the VALORANT Protocol from Guangdong, China and is classified as a Duelist. The Duelist label places her in the game’s entry-focused role group, alongside agents expected to take space and start fights from the front line. Riot’s official agent roster provides the broader roster context, while the Hush trailer gives her specific identity.

Her stated availability is Season 26 // ACT VI. Riot does not name a separate calendar date in the trailer description, so the act is the precise confirmed window. Players should not treat an unofficial date, leak, or countdown as established unless Riot adds it to an official page or client notice.

“Reality-bending” is the creative theme. Riot has not documented the mechanic behind it, so movement, vision, displacement, and area-control interpretations remain unsupported.

Why the Duelist classification matters

Role classification is the most useful gameplay information available before a kit breakdown. A Duelist normally competes for an aggressive roster slot, so Hush will be judged against agents that already create openings, survive first contact, or punish defenders who hold predictable angles. Her origin and visual identity do not answer whether she will replace any of them.

There is no official basis yet for calling Hush strong on a particular map, pairing her with a specific Initiator, or assigning her a preferred weapon economy.

Riot’s marketing frames Hush as a disruptive Duelist, but the trailer gives no mechanic behind that framing. A mechanical verdict requires an ability description, exact values, and gameplay footage.

The reveal is built around character before mechanics

RISE AND FALL is an agent trailer. It contains no patch notes or gameplay breakdown. Riot pairs Hush’s introduction with the song “It’s You” by Karencici and credits Brunch Studios as the animation partner. Karencici performed and co-wrote the track with producer Kvnloverboy; Yáng Tan mixed it, Mike Bozzi mastered it, and Audiomachine and The Crystal Creative supplied additional composition.

What players can act on now

Players can reserve testing time for a new Duelist during Season 26 // ACT VI. Team and map decisions should wait for the kit.

Once the kit is public, the useful tests will be concrete: whether Hush can enter without a teammate spending utility first, whether she can escape after first contact, how long her disruption lasts, and which enemy tools can cancel or avoid it. Those questions determine whether she competes with self-sufficient Duelists or needs more setup from an Initiator. Riot has not yet supplied the data needed to answer them.

Hush also arrives during an active period for character-based shooters. Valve recently added Violet to Deadlock, covered in GamerHeadlines’ report on the release. Within VALORANT itself, the reveal follows a period of debate around competitive attention, discussed in our VALORANT viewership coverage.

The next useful official update will be an ability breakdown, gameplay demonstration, client release notice, or patch note with exact timing.
