Ever since the Xbox Series S was first released almost six years ago, people have been speculating that it might "hold back" the industry and ultimately become too difficult to develop for in the late stages of the console generation.

However, as we get closer and closer to the arrival of Xbox Project Helix, the Xbox Series S is still going strong here in 2026, and it's still getting games that are incredibly well optimised for a device that was seen as low-powered even at the beginning of the decade.

Take Forza Horizon 6 and Gears of War: E-Day, for example - two beautiful first-party games that have received plaudits throughout this year for how fantastic they look on the Xbox Series S:

For this feature, we wanted to get your thoughts on the most impressive games you've played on the Xbox Series S, as admittedly we've spent the majority of our time at Pure Xbox HQ with the Xbox Series X over the past six years.

There have been some games that have really struggled on the Series S, of course, but the vast majority seem to have held up pretty well, while others such as Baldur's Gate 3 have been brought up to date for the console over time.

So, let's go for it! Give us your verdict on the best Xbox Series S games, and you might just encourage a few Pure Xbox readers to go and check them out on their Series S consoles as well. Let us know in the comments!
