体验《上古卷轴5:天际》在最高画质下开启 DLSS 5 的感受
I wasn’t prepared for Skyrim with DLSS 5 on max settings
We’ve seen DLSS 5’s effects in many games, some that are meant to use it, and some that sure aren’t. The results suck regardless, but even all that suckage actually showed DLSS 5’s “prowess” in normal settings. Nothing can prepare you for “DLSS 5 Deep Fried Skyrim“.
We’ve all had the chance to see what DLSS 5 does to games, but if you’re lucky enough to have avoided that sight so far, this is how much “realism” it’s been shown to add, and merely at the expense of all art direction and 50% of your average performance.

But it can get even “better”, as YouTuber Vault Boy has jeopardized his PC and eyeballs to show us, and the result should come with a major red flag.
I know this is the Internet, a place where somebody will always materialize to defend even the gnarliest thing, but I honestly do believe no human eyes or souls can enjoy this. Sure, I thought that about DLSS 5 Cyberpunk 2077 as well, and a few people did claim to actually like it, but this is the new final boss.
And, just in case you somehow think you should and could experience a game like that, be warned that this will go way beyond the 50% framerate drop that normal DLSS 5 will cause in all games, meaning you cannot expect even a moment of smoothness from games deep-fried in DLSS 5 slop.

I know it looks awful, but I forced myself to go through the mental exercise of trying to come up with an excuse for this one, and I landed on “well, you’re not supposed to have everything cranked all the way up to 100. You’re obviously going too far.” Then I remembered that gamers, PC ones, especially, actually love to be able to play most things on max settings.
I previously wrote about a DLSS 5 glitch that made GTA look like a gateway for an alien invasion into our world. I thought that would be a rare occurrence, but it turns out anyone uninterested in their PC’s longevity can simply turn a dial to make similar things happen.
All things DLSS 5 strike me as one of the biggest “what are we doing here” moments in recent memory, possibly ever, but at least I can never accuse it of being boring. I cannot wait to see what else the tech will be making impossible to enjoy next!
