In the latest Witchbrook dev blog Chucklefish team revealed 11 remarkable characters and unique affection system. The developers prepared a special date-planing mechanics that rewards curiosity and observation.

Moreover, the team shared a quick development update about current state of the project. Internal playtesting reached its end, localization and console porting are underway, and the studio is polishing pixels and squashing bugs. Fans can also look forward to over 600 pieces of colour-swap furniture, plus clutter and knick-knacks for cottage decoration.

Witchbrook is a life sim which invites players to Mossport, a vibrant seaside town. In this peaceful world Witchbrook College opens its doors to aspiring witches. The town is a living, breathing world teeming with life, from townsfolk with intricate daily routines to community events marking the changing seasons.

Romance Features

Eleven Romanceable Characters: Each covenmate has their own personality, interests, and quirks that evolve over time.
Friendship or Romance: Each character’s story arc progresses without commitment. Friendship is fun, too.
Timing Matters: Different characters have their own pace of dating depending on their current circumstances. A shy wallflower may need more time than a bubbly socialite.
Dating Cards: Mossport’s longstanding tradition of expressing affection through cards.
Plan the Perfect Date: Players choose two activities based on what their date enjoys. Over 200 “date chatter” spots reveal whether an activity is a good idea.
Good Dates, Bad Dates: Even promising dates can go badly.
Going Steady: “Going steady” card unlocks relationship privileges, including sleepovers.
Multiplayer Rivalry: In co-op, each player can date a covenmate. Two players might compete for the same person’s affection.

Free Time Activities: Shopping at boutiques, selling crafts at the Sunday market, chasing high scores at the arcade. Players document Mossport through their camera, or pick out the perfect gift for a date.
Online Co-Op: Up to 4 players can race on brooms, hone spellcrafting, or simply hang out together in Mossport.
