Lineage II 发布 Beyond the Realm 更新，新增跨服区域与矮人职业改版

With WoW Forever and the recent launch of Aion 2 grabbing much of the MMORPG spotlight, it would be easy to overlook some of the genre’s older residents. NC, formerly NCSOFT, isn’t letting Lineage II fade quietly into the background, though. The long-running MMORPG is receiving its latest major update, Beyond the Realm, bringing new high-level content, revamped dwarf classes, and seasonal events.

The biggest addition for Live server players is Replica, a new cross-server zone opening October 14. Designed for characters level 110 and above, Replica features hunting grounds populated by monsters starting at level 120. Players can also invade territories on rival servers, adding a competitive PvP element to the new region.

Replica won’t be available around the clock. The zone opens daily for two hours, with entry available between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. PT. Players who survive its challenges can earn Dethrone Points and Soul-infused Flowers.

Meanwhile, the Iron Masters portion of the update gives dwarves some overdue attention. The Maestro and Fortune Seeker classes are receiving overhauls across the Aden and both Project servers.

Maestro combines crafting expertise with combat abilities, wielding a massive hammer and drawing power from Maphr, the creator of the dwarves. Fortune Seeker focuses on excavation, rare material collection, and an unpredictable combat style. Together, the two classes reinforce the dwarves’ traditional role as the game’s master craftsmen and resource gatherers.

There are also a couple of community events running from October 13 through November 3. The annual Halloween celebration offers limited-time seasonal rewards, while Return to Giran Harbor challenges groups of up to 200 players to take down the Jin Behemoth boss for exclusive rewards.

NC is also celebrating the 23rd anniversary of Lineage II‘s Korean release with The Playlist (Lineage 2 Lofi). The nine-track album reimagines music from the original soundtrack with a more relaxed sound and is available on YouTube and Spotify.

More than two decades after its debut, Lineage II continues to receive new content. It might not dominate MMORPG conversations the way it once did, but Beyond the Realm gives its dedicated community another reason to keep logging in.
