Two Point Museum: Rides & Relics

In Rides & Relics, curators become funfair experts as they reopen the gates of Two Point County's once-legendary amusement park. This is Riquetti Gardens, the largest museum in the game to date and a new five-star campaign – this time, the focus is on the outdoor area.

As well as placing attractions and rides, some of which are incredibly creative and utterly zany, players can construct 'mini coasters' – piece by piece – with customisable height, tilt and camber, complete with corkscrew elements and loops. There is a new menu for this feature, but unfortunately the controls are a little fiddly; Planet Coaster handles this more intuitively. However, the five unique coaster themes are excellent and can be seamlessly integrated into the wider surroundings to complement the existing museum themes. As always, queuing areas can be placed here for visitors; players must decide how long the queue should be, and museum assistants can be transformed into mascots to entertain guests while they wait to board rides and explore the park.

The simulation elements have been expanded slightly. Rides and coasters have individual ticket prices rather than donations, so prices can be set for these. Rides also feature new statistics, such as: Ferocity, Nausea and Thrill. Thrill increases the amount of time that guests spend in the museum. Ferocity is made up of forces, high speeds and acceleration. Guests have different tolerances for ferocity; some prefer high-ferocity rides, while others prefer something more relaxing. This should be considered when designing the coasters. Nausea is influenced by braking, turn speed, being upside down and force. Players can counter nausea by installing Perks on rides and coasters, which are found on expeditions.

If things get too bad, guests will vomit, just like in Theme Park – which, of course, brings down the park's rating if there are vomit stains everywhere. This is where the cleaning staff come in. Even if you place them directly over a vomit stain, they don't always clean it up. Consequently, Rides & Relics still feels somewhat buggy in places. Although Riquetti Gardens is the largest map in the game so far, the area could easily be bigger to allow more or larger coasters to be built.

New attractions are unlocked by sending experts on expeditions to the old, abandoned Gearbox Fairgrounds to uncover blueprints and perks. Over 15 funfair exhibits, including antique amusements and interactive displays, can also be unlocked. However, it can take some time to unlock everything, especially the decorations. Rides can be upgraded by finding higher-quality blueprints on expeditions. Upgraded rides have a higher rating and more perk slots.

As with previous expansions, all players can play up to the first star of Rides & Relics at the new Riquetti Gardens locations for free as part of the DLC taster content. The update also brought a crossover event with Little Kitty, Big City from Double Dagger to the Digiverse.

As for whether a funfair really belongs in a museum, the developers had already addressed this concern before: "This DLC is inspired by community requests, much like both Zooseum and Arty-Facts, but we also drew inspiration from many fairground museums across the UK and Europe. We're UK-based, and we have so many lovely examples of funfair museums that specifically showcase traditional or vintage rides. This aesthetic was a major inspiration for Riquetti Gardens, which you'll see in the new in-game items with cream-and-green theming, filigree, and an old-timey look. Many of the rides are inspired by vintage fairgrounds in real life, but we also took time to make sure the fairground complements the existing museum themes well."

Two Point Museum: Rides & Relics was released on 8 October 2026 for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is priced at £9.99, €10.99 and $10.99. The Switch 2 version will follow later.

Conclusion

Two Point Museum: Rides & Relics is a good addition to the base game and will appeal to fans of Theme Park and Planet Coaster. It would be great if the next expansion tied in more closely with the museum theme. As with Zooseum, Rides & Relics suggests that Two Point Studios are testing concepts for new games within Two Point Museum. Personally, I'd prefer more Two Point Museum than Two Point Anything.

Features

  • The largest museum to date
