Allplay Welcomes 4 to Partner Program; Ares Recruits Draco Ideas/Eclipse Editorial

Allplay has added four more publishers to its Partner program and will be distributing their titles in the U.S.:  Crafty Games, Pika Games, Facade Games, and Cardboard Alchemy.  Meanwhile, Ares Games has reached an agreement with Spanish publisher Draco Ideas/Eclipse Editorial to handle their distribution in the English-language market.

Crafty Games is the publisher of Ostia:  Mariner Edition, previously distributed through Asmodee North America (see “Asmodee NA Links Deal with Crafty Games”).

Pika Games produces A Wild Venture, a two-player game in which players first construct card-based engines before later dismantling them.  Two booster pack expansions, Byways and Revelry are also available.

Facade Games has been manufacturing historically themed games packaged in boxes designed to look like vintage books since 2015, dubbed the Dark Cities Series (see “Expose Communists in ‘Hollywood 1947’”), as well as more traditionally packaged card games like Parkade and Trophies.

Perhaps best known for the award-winning Flamecraft, Cardboard Alchemy also produces the science fiction game Andromeda’s Edge (see “‘Andromeda’s Edge’ Nears”), the two-player Flamecraft Duals (see “Cardboard Alchemy Reveals ‘Flamecraft Duals’”), and the cozy Critter Kitchen (see “Lucky Duck Reveals ‘Critter Kitchen’”).

Allplay previously announced a partnership with Plaid Hat Games (see “Plaid Hat Becomes an Allplay Publisher Partner”).

Ares Games’ new partnership is with the Spanish game publisher Draco Ideas/Eclipse Editorial, formed by the merging of those two publishing houses. Draco Ideas specializes in historical games.  Eclipse Editorial produces narrative and family games.  The first three games produced under the new partnership will be releasing in December:

Dark Kingdoms is a game about the clashes between the Celtic natives and Germanic invaders of Britannia during the 5th Century.  The game can be played competitively, as a two-on-two team game, or solo.

Reconquista 2nd Edition is an updated version of the 2018 title about the wars between Christian kingdoms and Islamic kingdoms on the Iberian Peninsula in the 11th Century, available for the first time in English.

RatLand 2nd Edition is a family-friendly game in which players compete to be the top rat in the sewers they call home, fighting for control of the cheese they need to feed their growing rat clans. Two expansions, RatLand:  The Conquest of the Port and the Automa Expansion allowing for solo play, as well as the Rat Miniatures Pack upgrade kit.

Ares Games took over distribution of Dark Horizon Games’ Earth Under Siege: Flashpoint this summer (see “Ares Games Inks Distribution Agreement with Dark Horizon Games”).
