In a rare incident, the company allowed the customer to keep the upgraded OLED variant even though the first one was working fine.

Dell Provides a Free Upgrade to User Who Thought His OLED Monitor Died; Gets a 280 Hz Alienware Monitor As a Replacement for the 240 Hz Variant

We often overlook amazing RMA success stories buried beneath reports of RMA horror stories. Even though successful RMAs are fairly common, there are some incidents where the manufacturers go above and beyond by offering more than what's actually required. One such amazing story was shared by the Redditor u/hardcore_gamer29, who got a better monitor than he previously bought with just a service request.

The user said he bought an Alienware 2723DF monitor recently. It's a QD-OLED gaming monitor that runs at 240 Hz at 1440p resolution, but the user reports the monitor won't turn on. He tried three different cables, but finally gave up when it appeared that the monitor was faulty. So, he raised a service request on WhatsApp, and after three days, a Dell technician arrived at his house.

Apparently, the user was using the navigation joystick button to turn it on, while the power button was in the corner. He somehow overlooked it, but the technician was able to successfully turn it on. So, it turned out that the monitor was totally okay, and it was just user error. However, the technician appeared to be kind enough for him to get his monitor replaced with a better one.

The image shows packaging for an Alienware 27 280Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor featuring specifications like a 27-inch display, QHD 1440p resolution, 0.03ms response time, DCI-P3 99.3% color accuracy, and HDMI 2.1 compatibility.

The user doesn't seem to be the one raising a replacement request, but it was the technician who helped with the arrangement of a new Alienware 2725D monitor, which is a 1440p 280 Hz gaming monitor with a QD-OLED panel. The user says he got a brand-new piece, but since he already bought a Samsung 4K 280 Hz monitor, he is now selling the Alienware one. The 280Hz monitor is roughly Rs 9,000 (roughly US$95) more expensive than the 240 Hz variant and sells for around US$569 in India.

Many users have recommended Dell's OLED displays in the thread for the same reason, as Dell seems to offer terrific after-sales support.
