Rockstar has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, captured entirely in-game on PS5, ahead of the game’s 19 November 2026 launch.

Rockstar Games has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and every frame of it was captured in-game on a PlayStation 5, just over a month before the game arrives.

The trailer went up on Rockstar’s YouTube channel on 15 October. Its description confirms both the capture and the date: “This trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5. Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19.”

Rockstar had already pushed Grand Theft Auto VI back to 19 November 2026, so this is the final trailer before launch rather than a new delay. The build-up has been steady: the game’s marketing has produced a sizeable drop roughly every week over the past month, including an Extended Look, a soundtrack album reveal and a collector’s edition.

New Justice single and story detail

The trailer debuts “Flower in a Hurricane”, a new standalone single by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar’s description names the electronic duo as composers of the game’s original score, and says the track also appears on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which is available to pre-save on streaming services and to pre-order on vinyl or CD.

On the story side, the trailer opens with Jason reflecting on his time in the army, where he says he “ran into some trouble”. Lucia later phones him from prison, and the footage confirms she wears an ankle tag. Supporting characters Raul and Cal get quick appearances, and missions first shown in the Extended Look are expanded on, including helicopters carrying part of a bank vault into a building.

Rockstar’s own synopsis has the pair caught in a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida after an easy score goes wrong, forced to rely on each other to make it out alive.

PlayStation branding and price

PlayStation branding reportedly runs throughout the trailer, a measure of how closely Sony is tied to the biggest launch of the year. Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition is listed on the PlayStation Store.

A PS5 price of £69.99 in the UK and $79.99 in the US has been reported, though that may not cover every edition or region. No PC version has been confirmed.
