世嘉因《索尼克赛车:跨界》未兑现全付费DLC承诺遭玩家痛批
SEGA Labelled 'Stupid Liars' After Failing to Fulfil 'All Future Paid DLC' Promise for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Season 2, which includes Final Fantasy 7, will require a new Season Pass

Agitated Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds fans have picked up their pitchforks and are pointing them at publisher SEGA, after an old social media post implied “all future paid DLC” would be included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.
The Japanese company announced a dizzying Season 2 schedule for the likeable arcade racer this weekend, including Final Fantasy 7, Evangelion, and Godzilla content.
But the catch is all existing owners will need to buy a new Season Pass to access the content, which will run you $29.99/£24.99.
SEGA has reduced the cost of the main game to $39.99/£34.99, while its abovementioned Digital Deluxe Edition – which, crucially, includes Season 1 – now costs $59.99/£49.99.
But fans have discovered an old X (or Twitter) post – originally published over a year ago, on 8th June, 2025 – where it said “all future paid DLC” would be included with the most expensive version of the game.
In the publisher’s defence, the accompanying image does show the Season 1 roadmap – with some boxes greyed out, as they weren’t announced at the time – which the firm has fulfilled.
While I appreciate the wording does look misleading retroactively, I think SEGA would rightly argue that Season 2 simply wasn’t guaranteed at the time.
The firm has also done a good job adding free content to this game, including characters like Axel from Crazy Taxi, which have been included outside of the Season Passes for everyone to enjoy. It’s said there’ll be more content like this, including Bayonetta and Aigis in the future.
So while I do understand where fans are coming from here, I think calling the company “stupid liars” is a bit harsh.
Yes, it’s there in black-and-white, but it’s clear the promise of “all future paid DLC” only applied to Season 1, as illustrated by the attached image.
Perhaps the publisher will make further announcements to make good on this disappointment in the future, but I think this game has been well supported so far, and I’m not sure you can complain too much about it wanting to charge for the avalanche of content it’s got planned for the year ahead.
