CD Projekt Red has teased a new Cyberpunk 2077 update tied to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, with Update 2.5 scheduled to arrive on October 22, 2026. The developer shared a post on the game’s official X account confirming the upcoming update and highlighting an official illustration created for the Edgerunners 2 tie-in.

In a separate post, the developer thanked Taisei Uchida for Original Art, Yukiko Kakita for Ink & Paint Check, and Yuichiro Tozawa for Special Effects for their contributions to the official illustration for the Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5).
The posts suggest that the update will have a connection to the upcoming anime season, although CD Projekt Red has yet to detail the specific content or gameplay changes planned for the patch.
