I FUCKED UP MY UPLOADS PLEASE WAIT
HOLD YOUR DECKS EVERYONE.
OT2 Episode 1 is a great thread title.
As a lifelong hardcore handheld gamer, I love what the Steam Deck unlocked in this hobby. Since getting the Deck, I've picked up an Ally and an Ayaneo Air 1S.
The OLED Deck resolves pretty much every.single.issue I had with the first generation model. Really impressive, GBA SP or DS Lite level update.
looking forward to 15 pages of glossy vs. etched screen discussions

New smell thread. And soon, a new vent smell with the OLED Decks in hand.
If I can get an order in I should be able to sell my 256GB LCD to my trainer. I'd just want to get it off my hands, so I think $200 would be a good deal for him.

That's a steal at that price.
Two more days until the OLED goes on sale.
Great thread! Unfortunately there's a mistake in the second image. It says 'Your games in no light' when I presume the intention was to say 'Your games in new light'.
So here we go! Looking forward to the OLED.
Added this thread to the Watched list.
Been currently playing Cobalt Core on my Deck and it runs perfectly. I need to keep remembering to install Diablo 4 (I have the Battlenet version and already installed Battlenet).

I imagine eBay will be flooded with them, and I'm sure I can get more if I wanted, but rather not deal with all that mess.
Lovely work on opening post! I didn't know PCGamingWiki had good documentation on Steam Deck, nice.
I'm so dang excited for the OLED, my playtime on visual novels and 2D games is going to skyrocket :D
I'll likely still keep my LCD Deck, albiet as a low power 2nd computer via the dock. I've found that especially handy when gaming on my main desktop
I'm shooting for the LE one, but if I don't get it, I might just go with the 512GB one and upgrade the SSD myself.
First time going for a Steam Deck; I hope I can snag one for my own present this year!

Could be a brightness setting reference.
Kidding.
Can't bring myself to sell my Deck until I have the OLED in my hands. Would have a meltdown if I ended up having to wait 1-2 months without one.
OT 2 Episode 1 lol! I love it.
Also, I picked up Klonoa yesterday on sale and it is GREAT on the deck. Runs like a dream!
when do they go on sale?
Great reference in the title
Great reference in the title
Title is lost on me. Could you please explain what is it reference?
SimpleCRIPPLE I responded to a post of yours in the previous thread about selling a Deck and pricing, which I think I read out of context. I agree that a basic 64GB will have to compete a bit with the equivalent refurb -- until that one sells out, which may be soon. Owners of other models, or ones that had higher capacity storage installed, could stand to be more prudent about their pricing than what I've seen here and there. A well-maintained unit with higher storage is worth more than the $280 basic 64GB refurb.

No It's on purpose, I mean no light as in no (back)light
LMAO...First time I have seen this.

Agreed. The OP selling a basic used 64GB is going to need to lower his expectations, but people that have upgraded theirs can hold for a higher value for the reasons you mentioned in your other post.

That video and obviously HL2: Episode 1

Oh, cool, carry on!

Valve notoriously cannot count to the number 3 for any of their products, so the joke is that instead of it being OT3 it's OT2 Episode 1, like Half-Life 2: Episode 1 & 2.
You'll never believe what the next OT is gonna be
But can Valve count to OS3.5?
Been purposefully staying away from the new Steam Deck news because I really can't justify the upgrade right now (and I have bad self control), but I did want to say great job on the thread OP! Enjoy all your new fancy OLED steam decks everyone. The Steam Deck in general has pretty much taken over my gaming habits this last year, the coolest game tech out there IMO.

I got a great deal on one earlier this year from a co-worker for theirs. I never thought I would love a device as much as I love this (quickly becoming my favorite console of all time). Which I should have realized, because I love the Switch and the versatility it brings.
This year alone, I have played/beaten on the Deck: Ghosts of Tsushima (mostly played via Remote Desktop), Legend of Zelda WW HD, Stray, Diablo IV, A Link to the Past, Red Dead Redemption 1 (Switch dump), and RDR 2, Starfield (via GamePass XCloud streaming).
The device is so versatile, it's insane at how much it can do.

YES.
It will be mine. And depending on how well it does, I may end up selling my G Cloud.

Knew that joke but didn't connect thread title with it. It is perfect!
Since Valve is afraid of "3", they may release Deck 4 after Deck 2. There may not be Deck 3.

I just want to say that I love my Steam Deck.
Good luck to everyone on the OLED wars. I'm sticking with the current gen, despite the battery upgrade.

Love all my SD brothers & sisters. Let us move forward to a brighter future, with more clarity and at higher refresh rates!
Man, I love my Steam Deck as is and I don't NEED an OLED model but... my partner has an OLED Switch and it looks significantly better than my own base Switch or Lite so I'm positive the OLED Steam Deck is just as big of an upgrade. I don't need it but...
For those upgrading from the original, how are y'all going about selling yours?

Some at more saturated colors because we are glossy4life.
My most read thread on era continues. After 1,5 years the deck ist still my most used/loved device ever!

It's possible I might have posted a lot in the last thread. You're all welcome.
