Visual Concepts has released a new game update for NBA 2K27 on October 19, and this is an unannounced patch.

Given that Season 2 launched just last week, don’t expect anything major from this download that appears as NBA 2K27 update 1.009 | 01.009.000, outside of fixes.

NBA 2K27 New Update on October 19 Is the First Hotfix After Season 2

So far, Visual Concepts has not acknowledged the patch, and we’re hoping the devs do sometime within the day.

That said, we do know some of the issues, which we’ve outlined below.

The biggest one is for PC, and this is something the developers acknowldged:

NBA 2K27 Known Issues

PC: “Unable to download shaders, please update your drivers and try again” error.

Issue: Some PC players encounter a “Unable to download shaders, please update your drivers and try again” error after Update 2.0.

[October 16]
- After encountering the error, please stay on the screen for at least 30 seconds, which will allow the error to dismiss on its own and let you proceed into the game.
- A fix for the error firing incorrectly will be included in a future update.

Some of the other issues from players include:

Shooting balance imbalance
REC court ownership and matchmaking issues
MyNBA custom roster wingspan bug
Defensive Indicator for team control modes still won’t show
Endorsements not tracking
After foul, passer runs out of bounds
