《寂静岭2重制版》更新让粉丝期待“Born from a Wish”DLC

Recently, Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 Remake celebrated its second anniversary. The title was a massive hit at launch, selling over 2 million copies within months. The game has continued to perform well since its release, further cementing its success.

Although it’s been two years since the remake launched, fans are still waiting for the Born from a Wish story expansion, which was originally planned to launch alongside the game’s special edition but has yet to arrive. While there have been several rumors over the years, Maria’s voice actress debunked them last October, stating that she hadn’t recorded any material for the DLC, suggesting it was unlikely to arrive anytime soon.

After a year of silence, a dataminer on X (formerly Twitter) noticed that Silent Hill 2 Remake received an update on Steam on the exact date of its second anniversary. According to the dataminer, this wasn’t one of the game’s usual minor patch updates but a potentially significant change that could point to upcoming content. The dataminer stated:

Silent Hill 2 remake got an important update on SteamDB. A Stats Schema update almost always signifies an upcoming big update with new content and new achievements.

Although Bloober Team hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, the discovery is worth keeping an eye on. While a SteamDB update doesn’t guarantee that new content is on the way, it could be an encouraging sign for fans who have been anticipating the Born from a Wish DLC since the game’s launch.
