Nintendo appear to be going all out in the run up to Christmas this year and are running a special ‘Holiday Magic’ sweepstake where the winner will receive a trip to New York City. The competition is open for fans to enter from today, October 15th up until November 2nd.

To enter the competition, players must hold a Nintendo account. The prize includes a travel certificate to cover air fare, a hotel stay for two nights for up to four people as well as a personal tour of the New York Nintendo store and access to special themed activities.

Christmas at the Nintendo stores in New York and San Fransisco just got a massive upgrade, with both shops being transformed with festive displays next month. Per the team at Nintendo, “Visitors can discover exclusive holiday merchandise including the Super Mario Winter Collection, and warm up the season with cozy attire, accessories and more – all with a distinct Nintendo feel. Holiday gift guides, festive shopping bags, and, for a limited time, a gift with purchase (requires minimum spend) will be available while supplies last.” There will also be special guest appearances during December from Mario and Luigi.

Alongside this, the famous Mario balloon will once again feature in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on November 26th.
