Idea Factory International announced on Tuesday that it will release Villion:Code, developer Compile Heart's new school RPG, in the West for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on January 26, 2027.

The game will get a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes a digital art book and soundtrack.

The PS5 version will have physical editions in North America and Europe, and the Switch and PS4 versions will get physical editions in North America.

The game launched in Japan on June 25 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, and Switch 2.

The game's story is set in the near future where humanity is facing its approaching destruction. To find a solution to this certain doom, the "Advan Resilience Research Academy City" is established. One day, an anomaly appears in the city, which spawns strange beings known as GEM that begin attacking people, and generates a "bubble" that cuts it off from any contact or travel in or out. In this new isolated state, people begin to confront their roles as they pursue the truth of the anomaly in the academy city.
