第一人称滑雪射击游戏《DIEATHLON》12月10日登陆Steam发售

Old-school PC gamers remember SkiFree, which had you racing downhill until you were eventually caught and eaten by the Abominable Snowman. But what if you had a gun to even the odds? Long Void Games and publisher Loopr Partners’ unique first-person shooter DIEATHLON are doing just that, with the game launching just in time for Christmas on December 10 for Steam. Currently, you can check out the game’s demo.

Armed with a shotgun and racing down a frozen mountain, players must fight off deadly creatures, dodge dangerous obstacles, and make split-second decisions without losing momentum. Every descent presents a choice of branching routes, with different environments, enemies, and hazards waiting along the way.

The mountains have plenty of surprises for those willing to stray from the main path. Hidden routes lead to new encounters, while towering leviathans lurk beneath frozen waters and narrow passages put players directly in the path of hostile creatures. Surviving the descent means learning the terrain, mastering movement, and knowing when to take a risk.

With branching paths, hidden encounters, and a variety of perks to discover, DIEATHLON encourages players to return to the mountain and see how much further they can get.

And yes, you will be chased by not only a Yeti, but also a Kraken and giant spiders, to name a few.

The game will be part of this month’s Steam Next Fest, allowing new and returning players to jump into the game and see how they stack up against the dangers that await them.
