MOUZ Start Strong on Dust2

Spirit opened the series on their own pick of Dust2.

They won the pistol round, but MOUZ quickly took control of the economy and raced into a commanding lead.

donk became far more influential after a relatively quiet Dust2 and finished the map with 19 kills.

Spirit established control early and carried an 8-4 advantage into halftime.

MOUZ never fully recovered.

Spirit closed the map 13-9, with donk sealing the result through a one-versus-two clutch.

That tied the series and sent the semifinal to Nuke.

With a Grand Final place on the line, the deciding map became a battle of small margins rather than outright dominance.

PR Takes Over on Nuke

Nuke produced the closest map of the series.

Spirit again won the pistol round, but MOUZ prevented them from converting that early momentum into a substantial lead.

PR quickly became the key player.

The 19-year-old rifler recorded 17 kills in the first half alone and helped MOUZ secure a 7-5 halftime advantage.

Spirit continued to pressure after the side switch.

Clutches from tN1R and zont1x kept the Russian roster within touching distance.

PR remained productive, however, and eventually finished Nuke with 27 kills.

Spinx Helps Close the Decider

The final rounds became increasingly tense.

Spirit reduced the gap and threatened to push the map toward overtime.

Spinx then recovered from an earlier lost one-versus-one with an important multi-kill late in the game.

That helped MOUZ regain control and close Nuke 13-11 before Spirit could force extra rounds.

The deciding map also highlighted several important individual contributions:

• PR finished Nuke with 27 kills
• torzsi starred on Dust2
• donk led Spirit on Mirage
• Spinx delivered a crucial late round on Nuke

MOUZ did not dominate the entire series, but they won the most important rounds on the decider.

Spirit Fall Short After Falcons Win

Spirit entered the semifinal with renewed confidence.

They had swept Falcons 2-0 in the quarterfinals with wins on Mirage and Anubis.

That performance suggested Spirit had recovered from an inconsistent Swiss Stage.

MOUZ nevertheless proved to be a difficult matchup again.

The two sides had already met earlier in the tournament, with MOUZ winning that Swiss Stage series 2-0.

MOUZ took Dust2 13-5 and Mirage 13-11 in that earlier encounter.

The semifinal therefore becomes their second victory over Spirit at ESL Pro League Season 24.

MOUZ Reach Third Final of the Season

According to HLTV, the result sends MOUZ into their third Grand Final of the season.

The lineup has continued to develop despite roster changes and now has another chance to lift a major trophy.

MOUZ’s path through the tournament has also been impressive.

They progressed through the Swiss Stage without losing a series, beat FURIA 2-0 in the quarterfinals and then survived Spirit in the semifinal.

Their tournament run now includes:

• 2-1 semifinal win over Spirit
• Grand Final qualification against Vitality

The team has therefore reached the title match without losing a series.

Vitality Await in the Grand Final

MOUZ will face Vitality in the Grand Final on October 11.

Vitality reached the title match by defeating Aurora 2-1 in the other semifinal.

The Grand Final begins at 17:00 local time in Katowice and will be played as a best-of-five.

Before that match, Spirit and Aurora meet in the third-place decider.

Assessment

MOUZ’s victory was built on resilience rather than complete control.

They dominated large sections of Dust2, struggled to contain Spirit on Mirage and then had to survive a genuine test on Nuke.

PR’s 27 kills on the decider were crucial, while torzsi and Spinx also produced important moments at different stages of the series.

Spirit had opportunities to force overtime, but MOUZ remained composed in the final rounds.

That composure now gives them a shot at the ESL Pro League Season 24 trophy against Vitality.
