I think this concept art helped us get our first 10,000 wishlists for The Hive.

When we first started showing our game to the world, we needed something that would capture the atmosphere of the mysterious underground world we were creating.

This painting became one of the images that represented our game in its early days, and I still think it played a big part in getting people interested.

It was entirely hand-painted by our artist. No AI involved, of course.

Looking at it now, after more than 10 years of developing The Hive, it's interesting to think how much a single piece of artwork can influence a game's journey.
