《Open Doctrines》首届公开赛事公布:32 席位,每天一回合(与开发者破游戏实验)
Official tournament! 32 seats, one turn a day (this is an experiment to break the game with the dev)
《Open Doctrines》举办首届公开赛事“Open Doctrines tournament”,最多 32 名玩家在共享 Modern Day 世界每天一回合。玩家需更新至 1.3.2b 版本,通过浏览器版
Hello strategists!
1.3.2b made multiplayer tmuch more playable - so now we’re going to stress it in public. The first Open Doctrines tournament: one shared Modern Day world, up to 32 players, one turn a day. A slow campaign you check in on when you like, not an evening you have to clear.
How it works
- The map is Modern Day. Everyone starts as a real country and plays it themselves — research, economy, diplomacy, the lot.
- One turn resolves every 24 hours. You have a full day to give your orders; miss a deadline and you can set If I miss the deadline, do nothing so nobody plays your turn for you.
- 32 seats, first come. Claim one now and your country is held for you, even across a server restart — just rejoin with the same account.
How to join
- Update to 1.3.2b — the browser build at opendoctrines.pages.dev/play, or the desktop download here on itch. Older builds cannot connect to a hosted game; this is the release that fixed that.
- Multiplayer → Join, enter the code M2PR-DZG5, and leave the address blank. Web players join the same way.
- Pick your country. The lobby is open now; the first turn opens Wednesday, 21 October.
A word of caution — this one is an experiment
This is the first time we’ve run a hosted tournament: a free server, and a long-campaign codebase that is only days old. Expect rough edges. The server can restart between turns — your seat and your country are held, so rejoining is all it takes — turns may hiccup, and we’ll be watching the whole way. If something breaks, tell us; that’s half the point of running it in the open. Call it Season 0: the shakedown cruise, not the grand final.
Recommended to do
I recommend going to the discord, for communication, and tournament immersiveness!
See you on the map.
