Well, fuck you on behalf of the people of Denver then.
Yo, pro trip to whoever:
Don't say "North America" if you're only including one of the countries....smh
(wish this was coming to Canada)
COMING TO LA LET'S GOOOOOOOO
Only three cities…
Got the email earlier and got excited and then saw the list lol
Would love to go to Chicago
I have to go. I regret missing out on the Final Fantasy and Nier Orchestras so much.
same week as metaphor in chicago lol
I think I'm gonna go to one of these. Shit.
Oh maaan, I could make the NYC one!
Question is, do I want to go? I thought the previous orchestral album made a stronger impression, although you can't beat a live performance.

Wish they came to Vancouver too. Easiest money spent.
I got that email and was pumped to see them offering the music for sale as well.
Clicked the link and was greeted by a 10-track CD for $32 :(

I myself am tempted to pull the trigger for tickets, but if it's following the 30th Anniversary show in Japan (which is supposed to be based off of said recent Melodies Across Time arranged album), the set list does seem a little light at only ten tracks totaling 45 minutes. Mind, it's a really lovely 45 minutes worth of music..... and apparently there's a concert-exclusive encore medley as well.
EDIT: Okay, I'm hearing from some folks who attended the Japan show that there's a fair bit more tracks than just the album's ten. Great news!

Honestly yeah, I wish they would also adapt a few tracks from that equally excellent 2019 album release to fill out some of the set list, especially if it'd include the likes of the Magus Castle suite, Corridors of Time, and Schala's Theme.
As you say though, it's Chrono Trigger performed live. I probably won't be able to resist. ;)

These prices are pretty egregious.
Got our tickets. Prices are a pretty big "oof" as expected, but it's Chrono Trigger music live. It literally doesn't get better than that and it's probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Yeah, need to bring awareness before the remake ![]()

pricing is a bit ridiculous for these ho hum arrangements of all things

What are the prices? I'm interested but I missed the presale. Would like to get an idea if it's worth trying for the general sale.

In New York, I am seeing ~120-160 for most tickets.

Chicago it's like 240-320 for good seats.
Must be nice to be from LA

I'm going to pass for now and check for resale closer to the date or something in case something gets cheap.
The date is unfortunate as it's the same weekend as NYCC. I'd love to attend, as I usually do these concerts, but I don't like leaving the con early, especially if there's panels I want to attend.
I usually buy nosebleed seats for these types of events, but Chrono Trigger being my favorite game of all time for over three decades now, I splurged a bit.
Grabbed two center orchestra seats for a little under $500. Los Angeles. I'm ready.

Said no one ever.
Unless you want literally every event like these related to video games and anime, not to mention all the other things…
Do they usually have any special swag at these sort of events?
Dang, I'd love to go to this, but a prospect of traveling to America right now... I'm already doing it once for something else this year that's very important to me and I don't really want to do it again if I don't have to.

100% there will be merch and long lines for them.
Got some nose bleeds for the LA show. Hope there is some decent merch. Letsa go!

I would bet some sort of merch will be there. Video game fans tend to love merch at these types of events and the lines will be long. Would be a missed opportunity if nothing was there
Aaaand LA ticket bought. Last orchestral concert I went to was when E3 still existed, so I'm looking forward to this.
Pretty good chance I buy tickets to Chicago for this. Bit of a drive, but at least I can make a weekend out of it and go to Galloping Ghost too. Hopefully I can get my housemate to go with me.
I'll probably wait for whenever they do a re-run so I can read reviews on how the preformance is like (or if it comes to my city). Got burned by Genshin's mediocre concert a few years back after spending money traveling to NYC and don't want to make the same mistake.
Hero
One Winged Slayer
Got some tickets, definitely a little pricey, but figured it might be a once in a lifetime thing so YOLO.
Going to LA. I never thought Chrono Trigger would get this treatment in the US so I'm glad to attend. I hope the inevitable merch isn't super lazy.
I got a ticket for the NYC show. I figured maybe I could go to New York Comic Con as well to have more things to do on the trip out there. I'll plan things out more as it gets closer. I haven't been back to NYC since I lived there for a couple years post college a decade and a half ago.
Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite game, and the music is a huge part of that (and I still very frequently play music from it myself on piano and violin). I'll be interested to see how the arrangements turn out.
Is there a presale code I am missing?

I used:
MAMMOTH
Yeah MAMMOTH worked for Chicago. Chrono Trigger is easily one of my favorite games of all time so I had to get a good seat even though those prices hurt. Going to make a small trip out of it coming from Ohio.
This is disappointing because it isn't North America. Its just the US.
Well at least it is getting a concert....now if they would let us play it on all modern systems.
Man...would if I could. If it had some Chrono Cross mixed in, I don't know how I'd be able to say now. But as much as I love Chrono Trigger's soundtrack; it's hard to justify that cost right now.

Someone who attended the Tokyo show earlier this year graciously sent me a scanned copy of the program. Assuming the Stateside showings follow suit, here's the
full 20 track set list
:
Set 1:
01) Presentiment / Chrono Trigger
02) Morning Sunlight / Peaceful Days
03) Guardia's Millennial Fair / A Strange Happening
04) Secret of the Forest / Wind Scene
05) Battle / Fanfare 1
06) Courage & Pride / Frog's Theme
07) Kingdom Trial / The Hidden Truth / A Shot of Crisis
08) Lab 16's Ruins / Robo's Theme
09) The Day the World Revived / Lavos' Theme
Set 2:
01) Brink of Time / Delightful Spekkio / Fanfare 3
02) Primitive Mountain / Ayla's Theme
03) Magus' Castle / Confusing Melody / Battle with Magus
04) Corridors of Time / Zeal Palace
05) Schala's Theme
06) At the Bottom of Night
07) Determination / Wings That Cross Time
08) World Revolution / Last Battle
09) Epilogue ~ To Good Friends
10) To Far Away Times
11) ENCORE: Chrono Trigger Medley
Honestly, this looks like a terrific set, and I'm really glad to see that they actually do appear to be adapting a few tracks from that aforementioned 2019 orchestral album release to fill out the show. I'm now 100% onboard!

I actually just beat Chrono Trigger for the first time last year (I know) so this would've had such perfect timing for me :(

Oh DO go on or do an LTTP. I always love hearing people's thoughts on that one~

I should've done an LTTP! I'm not sure why I didn't.
I truly loved it. It really felt like a perfect game, and I don't say that lightly! The music, the art, the characters, the story, the pacing - all of it was exceptional. Despite the game's status, I honestly didn't know that much about it when I started it - so being time-travelled to a ruined future and finding out that the world basically already ended was definitely a mind F. I loved traversing the various times/settings, discovering parts of the world's history that had become unknown in the 'present', etc. I loved how Magus can join your party, and how you discover his backstory, etc.
Yeah - I loved it. I thought it was very cool, done very well, and I was incredibly satisfied by the end of it - to the point where any time the main theme started playing at a heroic moment, I would tear up haha.
Little fun fact: my wife and I throw a "Friendsgiving" every year (big meal, invite all of our friends, etc.) and last year was the 10th one. To celebrate that, we made a time capsule and asked everyone to bring things to put in. At the last second I decided to throw in my SNES copy of Chrono Trigger - both because it was important to me last year after I beat it, and because it just felt SO appropriate to put in the time capsule haha. I can't wait to replay it in 9 years and 9 months or so! :P
Dammit I don't have the money for this, why torture me so?!
I wish they would say what time show is.... in nyc.... got 3 kids under 3... I know its a Saturday but /:
Gah. If this were coming to Boston, I'd be there quick. I'm sure it'll be fantastic though, and I hope everyone that goes has a great time.
