In 2017, Analogue launched the SuperNT, an FPGA console focused on playing your SNES cartridges as authentically as possible with modern upgrades that gave it a new lease of life. They did the same with the MegaSG in 2018, a console I owned for a long while, and it evolved the classic SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis consoles in a way that was minimal and modern to slip into my home as easily as possible with remarkable emulation quality.
Over the years, these devices have done well, though they have been out of stock for an incredibly long time, and the only way to obtain them was by jumping on the secondary market to grab one at incredibly inflated costs. Well, no longer, as Analogue are upgrading both of those consoles with some minor tweaks, both available to pre-order on the 19th October and each ships later in December. They're calling them the SuperNT+ and the MegaSG+.

These new consoles are a continuation of the originals, now with Bluetooth and 2.4g, evolved industrial design, OS, packaging, and more. The FPGA core has more than a decade of in-house development, offering zero lag and "total accuracy" and does what the original did, and each console looks the same too, so there are only minor upgrades, but welcomed, and of course they'll likely be readily available for the first batch, and hopefully more to come in the future.
What's New In The SuperNT+?

Virtually the same mix of up to 2 controllers are available to connect. - USB-C power - USB-C powered, with a USB-C power supply and USB-C cable included, alongside a USB-A port.
- Hot swappable cartridges - Quit the cartridge from the menu and swap games without powering down.
- New Industrial design and retail packaging.
- Power on/off from the controller - Power the system on/off via a wired or wireless controller on P1 by pressing start, or by turning on a paired wireless controller.
When pre-orders go live on October 19th 8am PDT the SuperNT+ will be available in three different colour variants: Classic, SF, Black and will retail for $219. Shipping begins in December.

As mentioned, there are no major aesthetic changes, nor much changed to the core features of this device; it's a refresh and a restock with quality-of-life improvements.
