The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 2 is all set to bring another round of global esports action, with 32 teams preparing to compete in Lahore, Pakistan.

Following the success of the first season in Jakarta, Indonesia, which saw 4Thrives Esports emerge as champion, the tournament will mark Pakistan’s first official global PUBG Mobile esports event. With a $500,000 prize pool and a place at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026 up for grabs, the stakes are high for the participating teams.

This time, the tournament is introducing a few changes to its format, including a new Team Deathmatch tiebreaker during the earlier stages and a potential 13th match in the Grand Finals. So, let’s take a look at the schedule, format, participating teams, and everything else you need to know about PMGO 2026 Season 2.

The PMGO 2026 Season 2 will run from October 20 to 25, 2026, across five match days in Lahore, Pakistan. The tournament will feature three main stages: the Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Grand Finals. Teams will compete across Rondo, Erangel, and Miramar.

The Group Stage will begin on October 20, with Group A playing six matches. Group B will take the stage on October 21, also competing in six matches. The top six teams from each group will directly qualify for the Grand Finals, while teams finishing between 7th and 14th place will advance to the Survival Stage.

The remaining four teams from each group will be eliminated from the tournament. Next comes the Survival Stage on October 22, where 16 teams will compete across six matches for the final four spots in the Grand Finals.

Season 2 introduces a new 4v4 Team Deathmatch tiebreaker for the Group Stage and Survival Stage. If teams are tied on points for a qualification spot, they will face each other in a best-of-three showdown on the Warehouse map.

The first team to secure 15 eliminations in a round will win it. If neither team reaches that mark before the timer expires, the team with more eliminations takes the round. In case of a draw, the team that secures the final elimination will be declared the winner.

Grand Finals

The Grand Finals will take place on October 24 and 25, bringing together the 16 teams that survive the earlier stages. Day 1 will feature six matches, while Day 2 will introduce a new twist before the action resumes.

A themed-map Showmatch will take place before Match 7, with the winner earning the right to ban one of three map options for the potential Match 13. The team leading the standings after Match 12 will then choose between the two remaining maps if an additional match is required.

Match 13 will only be played if no team has already secured the championship under the Smash Rule. The change is designed to increase the chances of the title being decided through a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD), rather than solely through accumulated points.

Apart from the $500,000 prize pool, the Grand Finals also carry important championship implications. The winner will earn 150 PMGC points, which contribute to the qualification race for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey.
