SNK shipped Ver.3.3.2 for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on October 19, 2026, and it is the game’s first full anime crossover update. The official patch notes confirm two Tokyo Revengers fighters are now playable, a new single-player Boss Challenge Mode is live, Ranked Match has rolled into Phase 5, and the Nintendo Switch 2 version finally has firm digital and physical dates. SNK scheduled the update for 01:00 PDT / 08:00 UTC.

The update lands mid-run for a game that has been adding characters on a steady cadence. SNK brought in Kim Kaphwan in September, and the wider monthly character and collaboration DLC schedule has defined the game’s post-launch plan. Ver.3.3.2 adds two fighters, a story episode, a new mode, and a new platform launch.

Mikey and Draken arrive together

Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji are now selectable characters. SNK numbers Mikey as Fighter #24 and Draken as Fighter #25. Both are identified as downloadable content characters in the release notes and become playable immediately after updating the game. The notes introduce them through their Tokyo Revengers roles, Mikey as the invincible leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang and Draken as his trusted right-hand man, and both bring their own fighting styles into the Fatal Fury system.

Each fighter also has an individual Arcade Mode story. The collab also ships alternate costumes. Mikey receives a Terry-inspired look and Draken receives a Vox Reaper-inspired look. Color Edit is not supported for Mikey or Draken, on their default looks or their alternates. Players who use Color Edit to recolor the rest of the cast will have to leave these two at their shipped palettes.

A crossover episode with story scenes and original art

The Tokyo Revengers update adds an EOST story episode in which Mikey and Draken cross South Town to rescue Rock from Krauser, with new illustrations drawn specifically for the collaboration.

According to the patch notes, Krauser has kidnapped Rock; Kain and Terry set out to rescue him, but even together they are no match for Krauser’s new power. Draken reaches the wounded Kain while Mikey rushes to Terry’s side, and the two Tokyo Manji members vow to save Rock in place of the injured heroes. The episode is also framed as the reveal of what Krauser’s power is and why Rock was taken.

Arcade Mode gives each fighter a separate route, while EOST places both guests inside one South Town rescue story. The Mode Menu also receives a dedicated Tokyo Revengers theme.

The update also adds new alternate costumes for Cristiano Ronaldo, with the same Color Edit restriction applied to those looks. Across the crossover additions, players can use the shipped designs and alternates, but they cannot build custom palettes for Mikey, Draken, or Ronaldo’s new costumes.

Boss Challenge ranks players worldwide by clear time

Ver.3.3.2 adds Boss Challenge to the MISSIONS menu. The mode pits players against a high-difficulty CPU boss and ranks them worldwide on clear time; the notes say rewards vary by clear time. The first boss is Nightmare Geese, described as the nightmare that has returned to South Town.

SNK has not listed reward tiers or the leaderboard reset schedule.

Boss Challenge and Ranked measure different skills. Boss Challenge uses a fixed CPU encounter and clear time, while Ranked measures player-versus-player results and applies the Phase 5 rating reset. A player can pursue a faster Nightmare Geese run without the patch notes tying that time to Legendary Rate. The Phase 5 reset is described only for Rating Match and does not alter the Boss Challenge leaderboard.

Ranked Match Phase 5 starts with a targeted reset

Ranked Match has moved into Phase 5. Only Rating Match players at Legendary Wolf rank and above have their Legendary Rates reset, based on where they placed at the end of Phase 4. The notes name Garou rank as the target for those players to aim for.

The reset applies to Legendary Wolf rank and above. Players below that threshold are not mentioned as being reset. Phase 5 is active, but its end date and the Phase 4 close date are absent from the patch page.

Switch 2 digital arrives October 22, physical on January 21

SNK has locked the Nintendo Switch 2 release to two dates. The digital version arrives October 22, 2026, three days after this patch, while the physical edition is scheduled for January 21, 2027, about three months later. Physical buyers therefore miss the opening months of Boss Challenge competition and the early part of Ranked Phase 5 on that platform. The notes pitch the Switch 2 version as a way to play intense battles anytime, anywhere. SNK explicitly lists both online play and local head-to-head matches at home for the Switch 2 edition.

The gap between the two dates is bridged by a costume incentive. The paid “Classic Mai Shiranui” costume is included as a digital pre-order bonus and as a physical early-adopter bonus. The notes say standalone sales of that costume on Switch 2 will begin later, so owners who neither pre-order the digital version nor buy the physical edition early will have to wait to purchase it on Switch 2. Other platforms can buy the costume now, and SNK gives no date for the Switch 2 standalone sale.

The staggered release creates an installed-base gap inside one platform. Digital players begin ranked play and Boss Challenge competition before physical buyers arrive, so early Switch 2 leaderboards will represent only the digital cohort.

Two costumes go from bonus to buyable

The patch also converts two costumes into standalone paid purchases for all players. Mai Shiranui’s “Classic Mai Shiranui” look is now available, and Terry Bogard’s “Fatal Fury 2 Terry” costume, which was previously only an early-adopter bonus, can now be bought by anyone.

Online and quality-of-life fixes

Outside the headline content, Ver.3.3.2 tightens the online experience. You can cancel a match once per hour for a poor connection, but only during Round 1; the hour cooldown starts when the cancellation is used. Room Match lets spectators join matches already in progress, adds adjustable spectating speed and new UI, and blocks seat changes while a player is seated or waiting. Room search performance was optimized, though results may still vary by connection.

You can now name each character’s Color Edit save data, and some UI elements were updated for usability. If the stream-safe BGM filter is enabled, the one-time trailer videos that play after a version update are skipped, a small fix for streamers who keep the filter on.

The patch page also provides character-by-character battle adjustments behind its character selector, so ranked players should check their main before returning to Phase 5.

The resolved-issues list covers several specific bugs. Training’s frame meter no longer counts dash frames into a move’s total after certain moves performed right after a dash. Punish hints now correctly display moves that can punish Mr. Karate’s Kyokugen Ryuuga. Krauser’s Fatal Rave can no longer be interrupted against certain characters, and the SOUTH TOWN+ Just Defense rule no longer crashes on meeting its clear conditions. On PC, the keyboard-only setting was fixed under certain conditions, and Kim Kaphwan’s command list wording was updated with no performance changes. Replay upload was also improved, alongside several minor fixes. SNK does not explain what changed in replay upload or enumerate the other minor fixes, so those items cannot be evaluated from the published patch notes alone.

Mikey and Draken pricing remains unpublished

The patch notes identify Mai’s Classic look and Terry’s Fatal Fury 2 costume as paid costumes, SNK has not published Mikey and Draken’s price, bundle, or acquisition method. Players deciding how much the crossover costs will need a separate store listing or purchase notice from SNK.
