韩国 TEAM42 宣布 MMORPG《World of Slime》将参与 2026 年 10 月 19 日至 26 日 Steam Next Fest,并同步推出新增 Noecheon Village 与电、风系史莱姆的 demo 更新。

Major demo update adds a wealth of new regions and slimes – Surpasses 30,000 wishlists through word of mouth, without any large-scale campaign
South Korea — Oct 15, 2026 — TEAM42 (Seoul, South Korea) announced that its MMORPG in development, ‘World of Slime‘, will participate in Steam Next Fest, running from October 19 to 26, 2026. ‘World of Slime’ released a playable demo this past August, and in time for this Fest it has received an update adding a host of new regions and slimes.
Steam Next Fest Update
In time for this Steam Next Fest, ‘World of Slime’ has once again rolled out a major update adding new regions and slimes. Rather than simply adding areas, it introduces a variety of things to enjoy, making it an update that both existing demo players and newcomers arriving through Next Fest can appreciate.
This update adds a new region and village containing numerous new quests. ‘Noecheon Village’, with its distinctly Korean aesthetic and objects, will give players the experience of traveling through a traditional Korean village. Reflecting the nature of a field where lightning strikes frequently, many Electric and Wind type slimes have been added, letting players discover new slimes and find new synthesis combinations.
A Laid-Back MMORPG
‘World of Slime’ is a ‘cozy taming MMORPG’ that focuses on exploring the world at your own pace rather than growing stronger through competition. While following the familiar genre conventions of capturing and raising monsters, it stands out by prioritizing the joy of discovering new slimes as you explore its distinctive fusion system. As an MMO, it also offers the pleasure of exploring alongside friends, and sometimes strangers, or forming parties for battles, while a wide variety of quests give players many different goals to pursue on their journey.
Charming Visuals and Atmosphere
Through the soft, squishy creature designs that the word ‘slime’ evokes, along with cute, distinctively expressed characters, the game delivers an overall relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Each slime has its own special appearance and gestures, naturally stirring the desire to discover and collect new ones.
A Gacha-Free Collection System
One of World of Slime’s biggest defining features is that it does not sell randomized items (gacha). Breaking away from the probability-based draws and pickup systems commonly used in the monster-taming genre, the game is designed so that every slime can be obtained by players capturing or synthesizing them directly, doubling the fun of hands-on exploration. Instead of selling randomized items, the game plans to offer paid convenience features that save play time, such as town return scrolls, as well as character customization skins.
Word of Mouth Before Launch
‘World of Slime’ has surpassed 30,000 Steam wishlists without any large-scale campaign, and that number continues to grow steadily. Since releasing its demo version this past August, the team has kept up continuous bug fixes and updates, and user response has remained positive. A substantial number of users repeatedly log back into the demo to eagerly explore the game and continue discussions on the official Discord and elsewhere.
World of Slime’s PC demo is currently playable on Steam. The game will begin mobile pre-registration this November, followed by a simultaneous PC/mobile launch in December.
