FreeStyle Football 2 will launch on December 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC. Pre-orders are open now, Gematsu reported from an announcement by publisher JOYCITY and developer WOORE. PC players can buy through Steam or the Microsoft Store.

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus get a bigger discount than everyone else, which is the detail most likely to affect what you pay.

Pre-Order Discounts and Cross-Play

Inven Global reported that every edition carries a 10% pre-order discount. Game Pass and PS Plus subscribers can take a further 10% off on top of that.

The same report says the game supports cross-play between PC and consoles. Players on different hardware can team up or face each other in the same match.

JOYCITY has shown the game at Gamescom, PAX West and Steam Next Fest, according to Inven Global. More events and promotions are planned before launch.

Three Editions and What They Include

Prices are listed in US dollars, pounds, euros and yen. The Standard Edition costs $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥3,850. The Deluxe Edition is $39.99 / £32.99 / €39.99 / ¥4,950, and the Ultimate Edition is $69.99 / £57.99 / €69.99 / ¥8,580.

Every pre-order includes the ZEPHYR Set (windbreaker, cargo pants, traveler and running goggles) and the HORIZON Set (windbreaker, leggings and sneakers). Early access is bundled with the Deluxe and Ultimate editions only.

The Deluxe Edition adds the FEROX Wrestling Set, which has a red singlet, red socks and red football boots. It also includes two Character Instant Recruit Tickets, a Deluxe License profile icon, 500 Prism and 5,000 Reyal.

The Ultimate Edition keeps all of that. It adds lifetime access to premium outfits, covering the premium launch outfits and every seasonal Ultimate-tier outfit. It also includes a Premium Pass Ticket, an Ultimate License profile icon, 2,000 Prism and 13,000 Reyal.

The Ultimate Edition also carries the four-piece Death Game Set (outfit, headset, accessory and slides). The package also includes eight character holograms. Among them are Lion's Strike (Flame) and Olivia V8 (White & Blue).

A Five-a-Side Take on Football

FreeStyle Football 2 is a five-versus-five online team sports game. Each player controls a single character in real time. Every character has its own role and skills.

JOYCITY's description sets the game on Lana, an artificial island. There, the series broke from traditional 11-a-side rules. Matches turn on quick passing decisions, cooperative defence and chained skills, with character-specific abilities and dribbling.

Single-player content comes in a chapter-based Story Mode of 10 to 20 hours that digs into the lore of Lana. Competitive Leagues and Club Tournaments cover the esports side. Customisation includes character skins, street costumes and animations.

A pre-order trailer is on the game's official YouTube channel.
