Icyybtw has finished first in the latest North America West FNCS Solos Qualifier session after scoring 465 points across nine matches.

The NAW player combined three Victory Royales with 46 eliminations to finish 33 points clear of second-place peepotron.

The result came in Session 5 of the ongoing FNCS Solos qualification campaign, which continues through October 12.

Icyybtw Takes First With 465 Points

Icyybtw produced the strongest overall score in the latest NAW session despite playing fewer matches than several of the players directly behind him.

Across nine games, he averaged 51.67 points per match.

He also recorded 5.11 eliminations per game and an average placement of 17.56.

The top results were:

  • Icyybtw – 465 points
  • peepotron – 432 points
  • velouch – 422 points
  • orz s777 – 417 points

Icyybtw also collected three Victory Royales, matching the highest win total among the leading players.

peepotron Leads the Elimination Race

Second-place peepotron finished the session with 432 points.

His performance was considerably more elimination-heavy.

peepotron played 11 matches and recorded 73 eliminations, giving him one of the highest kill totals near the top of the leaderboard.

He also secured two Victory Royales.

Icyybtw ultimately won the session through a stronger overall combination of placement, wins and elimination scoring despite playing only nine matches.

velouch finished another ten points behind with 422.

velouch Records 78 Eliminations

The most aggressive performance among the leading players came from velouch.

He finished third with 422 points but recorded 78 eliminations across 11 matches.

That translates to more than seven eliminations per game.

Place Player Points Victory Royales Eliminations
1 Icyybtw 465 3 46
2 peepotron 432 2 73
3 velouch 422 1 78
4 orz s777 417 3 30
5 Tightfv 417 1 52

The table also shows how different playstyles can produce similar overall scores.

orz s777 and Tightfv both finished on 417 points despite very different elimination and Victory Royale totals.

FNCS Solos Uses a Multi-Round Qualifier

The wider FNCS Solos format begins with Round 1.

Eligible players must rank inside the top 200,000 on Fortnite’s overall Power Rankings leaderboard.

Players ranked in the top 2,000 can skip Round 1 and automatically enter Round 2, although entering Round 1 removes that automatic qualification.

Round 1 consists of two three-hour sessions with up to 11 matches per session.

For NAW, the top 2,000 players on the combined leaderboard advance to Round 2.

Round 2 Cuts the Field to 1,000

Round 2 consists of one three-hour session with up to 11 matches.

The top 1,000 players in every region advance to Round 3.

Round 3 again lasts up to three hours and gives players another maximum of 11 games.

What happens next depends on the qualifier.

  • Qualifier 1 sends its top 100 to the Fast Track
  • Qualifier 2 sends its top 108 directly to the Heats
  • Fast Track offers direct Finals qualification
  • Heats provide the remaining path into the Finals

This structure means strong individual sessions can have a major impact on a player’s route through the FNCS.

Fast Track Gives Eight Direct Finals Spots

The FNCS Solos Fast Track is available to the top 100 players from Qualifier 1.

It uses a much shorter format than the main qualifier.

Players compete in just four matches during an approximately two-hour session.

The top eight in each region qualify directly for the FNCS Solos Finals.

The remaining 92 players move into the Heats instead.

In NAW, xenonfv won the Fast Track with 190 points, while dig ark2x and Sandis Femboy finished second and third.

Session 5 Shows How Tight NAW Remains

The gap between first and fifth place in the latest NAW session was only 48 points.

That leaves little margin for mistakes.

A single Victory Royale or high-elimination game can significantly change the leaderboard when so many players are separated by relatively small totals.

Icyybtw’s three wins were therefore especially valuable.

His ability to secure those victories while maintaining consistent scoring across only nine games gave him enough separation to finish first.

Assessment

Icyybtw’s Session 5 victory was built on efficiency.

He did not record the highest elimination count, nor did he play the maximum number of matches.

Instead, three Victory Royales and consistent placement scoring allowed him to finish ahead of players with significantly more eliminations.

peepotron and velouch showed just how aggressive the NAW field can be, combining for 151 eliminations between them.

That makes the leaderboard especially competitive heading into the final stages of the FNCS Solos qualifying schedule.

With the event continuing through October 12, every remaining session still carries major importance for players trying to progress toward the Heats and Finals.
