2. 1. I didn’t play it but I did see some pretty cringe clips when it came out and everyone was talking about. Like doing pushups for misgendering someone or that one character telling their mom their nonbinary at dinner.
    
    FYI I’ve never played any of the Dragon Age games but I can’t say this one appealed to me to finally try it.

1. So let me get this straight. It’s good that 400 people are getting fired not including the number with BioWare just because you don’t like a game or the direction they were going? That makes sense someone makes something you don’t like and instead of acting like someone with an IQ higher than 1 and not playing it let’s celebrate people losing their jobs and having their lives turned upside down/destroyed.
2. 1. The woke crowd are the really loud fringe minority. So when whoever makes anything for them specifically. They lose a tonne of money. Then that loss turns into people losing their jobs. Moral of the story, don’t pander to a very small group of nut jobs. Even most of them probably didn’t even buy it because they’re socialists.
I can’t believe a 30 year old studio is just, gone. I feel so bad for the developers, just being layed off while being constantly attacked by EA with deadlines and other garbage. Blame the executives, not the developers.

1. Is anyone else tired of the word “woke”? Like it gets thrown around for everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. The word literally just is a label republicans put on things they don’t like. I feel bad for the developers, they didn’t want to be dragged through the mud by the executives with the constant staff changes, and cancellations.

If you take someone whose only career experience is a few months of work on a Sims DLC and—solely because they transitioned from male to female—make them the lead for a Dragon Age game that fans have been waiting 10 years for, and then force players to sit through a scene where a Qunari character suddenly declares, “so I’m nonbinary,” followed by 10 minutes of other characters apologizing to them, the game won’t sell—and the studio will end up closing down.
  2. Honestly, this has happened way too often. The artists and developers was kicked to the curb because they didn’t do enough what the executives wanted them to do. They keep making worse business decisions out of greed.

I wish companies would stop making AAA looking games into Indie style games. I don’t want a AAA game with Indie looks and gameplay. I want cutting edge graphics with smooth gameplay mechanics and no micro-transactions as well as at least 50% voice acting. If you cant do that dont waste your time with a developing a scaled down continuation of your AAA games especially at full AAA prices.
Sad the old BioWare no longer exists because they committed sepukku in favor of pandering to the non-existent modern audience. Go woke, go broke.

Very sad news but i knew this was happening all because they chose to ignore player feedback, attack them for wrong group-think, doubled down on their decisions and chose the wrong audience to market to thinking the name alone would be enough to sell like hotcakes (which it didn’t) but these aren’t the sole reasons why they are shutting down, a lot of that also has to do with poor executive decisions.
Oh thank good the Saudi bought out EA, and them trump started a war with Iran…. Oops! Who saw this coming 👀. Don’t worry it won’t stop here

EA are ghouls who suck the life and soul out of everything they touch. Very sad but BioWare have been on the chopping block for years, since at least Mass Effect Andromeda.
