End of Abyss New Update Applies Fixes for Different Issues

Player & Equipment

Fixed an issue where repeatedly trying to place an Explosive Charge on an invalid surface could leave you in a broken equip state.
Security Rifle:
- Added sound for Focused Aim.
- Improved Focused Aim targeting. The laser sight now fades out as you Focus Aim to make aiming clearer.

Achievements

Xbox: Fixed the Focused achievement not unlocking.

Balancing

Fragment drops are increased when you’re low on Fragments (under 200)

Enemies & Bosses

Drowned Husk

Fixed the player getting thrown out of the boss room by the grab attack.

Acid Damage

Fixed overlapping acid areas dealing double damage.

For a horror franchise as long-lasting as the Halloween series, you would have thought there would be more video games based on the property released over the years.

Map

Mainframe Data Shard holders now update the map when a DSU is unlocked from another level.
Searched dead bodies are now checked off on the map, even if you didn’t scan them first.
Fixed some doors showing as “Locked” instead of “Locked from other side” on scan and on the map.

Progression Fixes

Containment Sector

Fixed the Containment Service Key and Storage Room Key not showing inventory info when picked up.

Ventilation Tunnels

Fixed Complex Alloy disappearing from the Grapple Hatch if you died after opening it.
Fixed a Fragment chunk duplication exploit.

Waterworks

Added call buttons to the SCU room elevator to prevent a progression block.

Reactor

Fixed the player falling when arriving on the elevator to Reactor’s lower levels.

Infirmary

Added a lever on the other side of a locked door so players who fell through the floor into B2 can’t get trapped.
Improved collision to help prevent falling through the floor into B1.

Communication Center

Fixed lightning effects not appearing when the Beacon is activated.

Factory

Energy node doors now show “Requires Power” until the Reactor Core is turned on.

Text & Localization

Updated the Grenade and Explosive Charge descriptions.
Added description for the Sewer Workshop Key.
Level transition ladders now show “Climb to [area]” as their interaction text.

General

Crates and explosive containers now respawn when you use a Save Station, not just when a level loads.
Dormant enemies are no longer moved by shockwaves from explosions, which could push the player out of the world.

The developers have been very active in providing post-launch support, so don’t be surprised to see another one released soon.
