Normal drifting or bust

Earlier this year saw the launch of Screamer, one of the most interesting and unique racing games available on PS5. A new patch, available now, allows you to make it a little less interesting and unique, if you like.
Announced and released today, the latest game update for Screamer can be installed now, and the main attraction is a new control option that completely changes how the game plays.
Among other things, one aspect that separates this racer from its competitors is how you drift; by default, you steer with the left stick, and engage a drift with the right stick.
This new option introduces a "single input" control scheme, which puts both steering and drifting on the left stick.
I've taken it for a very quick test drive, and it seems ideal for more casual players or those intimidated by the dual stick method.
It's a good option to have, although if you're going to play Screamer, I'd recommend trying to stick with the default controls if you can. It's a rewarding thing to master.
Elsewhere, the new update makes a few other changes; you can now unlock Tournament Crew members by playing any game mode, and a number of characters have received some balance adjustments.
Here are the full patch notes:
New Control Mode - Single Stick
- Players can now select a new control mode that combines Steer and Drift on a single stick. This can be changed to/from the default Twin Stick from the options menu outside of races.
