KT Rolster 0-2 落后逆转 Team Vitality 晋级 2026 德玛西亚杯四强

kt Rolster produced a stunning comeback after recovering from two games down to beat Team Vitality 3-2. In the process, they secured a spot in the semifinals of the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational on Oct. 12. For Vitality, the defeat brings to an end a run which saw them at least snap an eight-year wait for an international win.

The best-of-five was Match 1 of the quarterfinals. Vitality made light work of Game 1 but had to produce a comeback of their own to take Game 2. With the shadow of elimination looming large, kt Rolster stayed calm under pressure to take Games 3, 4, and 5, leaving the French org reeling.

How the series swung

Vitality's mid-jungle pairing won the early exchanges in Game 1 against Bdd and Cuzz. FIESTA's Orianna picked up two kills, and Carzzy's Xayah added a double kill in a top-lane dive after a lane swap. A big mid-lane teamfight win and Baron then let Vitality tear down towers and close the Game out.

Game 2 would have been harder to stomach for kt Rolster. They led by 6,000 gold at the 19-minute mark and stretched that to 9,000 after a Baron. The Game was in their hands. Vitality, though, had different ideas and won the fight ahead of the next dragon, took consecutive teamfights and another Baron, and flipped the game on its head.

Game	Winner	Turning point
1	Vitality	Mid-lane teamfight win and Baron
2	Vitality	Erased a 9,000-gold deficit after the fight before dragon
3	kt Rolster	10,000-plus gold lead by 22 minutes, finished in 23
4	kt Rolster	Bdd's Locke picked up three kills
5	kt Rolster	Won the teamfight after Vitality's Dragon Soul and Baron, then took Elder Dragon

Key performer and the decider

Bdd was the standout player. His Taliyah opened Game 3 with two early kills, and in Game 4 his Locke finished with three kills as kt Rolster shut down Vitality's Cho'Gath twice and levelled the series. Vitality did land a bot-lane gank on Jiwoo's Yunara in that game but it wasn't enough.

As both teams looked to stay in the competition, Game 5 was close right to the end. kt Rolster starved the opposing Varus in the top lane, while Vitality held a slim gold edge through bot and mid skirmishes. Vitality reached three dragon stacks, then won an Ace-deciding teamfight for the Dragon Soul and followed it with Baron.

Having worked so hard to get back in this contest, kt Rolster weren’t about to fold. They won the next teamfight to flip the gold lead, and the fight over Elder Dragon went their way to close the series.

Why it stings for Vitality

Vitality’s 2-0 win over GAM Esports was both their first win at the 2026 Demacia Cup and their first international victory in an incredible eight years. Their previous one came against Gen.G in the group stage of Worlds 2018.

That context will only make this the quarterfinal exit sting even more; twice they held the series in their hands. Not that the markets wavered much. Even when Vitality were 1-0 up, the odds still suggested bettors fancied kt Rolster to make the comeback.

Writer's take

Game 2 could have broken kt Rolster, especially if Vitality forced the advantage in Game 3. Instead, it was Vitality who suddenly looked edgy, allowing Rolster to close Game 3 in 23 minutes with a 10,000-gold lead. They were in no mood to throw another Game away.

kt Rolster now moves on to the Demacia Cup Global Invitational semifinals. Their opponent and match date are expected once the bracket is updated.
