City Transport Simulator 2026 – Vienna Expansion is out now on Xbox Series X|S, introducing three realistically recreated routes through Vienna, complete with authentic vehicles, familiar landmarks and more than 1,000 detailed buildings.

Priced at £41.74 for the expansion, it offers a new destination for virtual drivers to explore. Alternatively, the Vienna Edition, which bundles the complete Starter Edition with the expansion, costs £58.49.

Three Routes Across Vienna

The expansion brings three routes inspired by Vienna’s real public transport network, each offering a different perspective on the city.

Tram line 37 runs between Schottentor and Hohe Warte, while line 38 connects Schottentor with Grinzing. Those looking for something different can take control of the articulated bus on line 35A, travelling between Spittelau and Salmannsdorf via Döbling.

More than 1,000 recreated buildings help give the routes their distinctive character, with historic architecture, public squares and traditional Viennese Heuriger areas among the sights along the way. AI traffic, pedestrians and passengers add further activity to the streets.

Two trams are included: the ULF A and the longer ULF B, both recreated with detailed interiors and driver cabs. Bus drivers can take the wheel of a Citaro C2 articulated bus wearing its Wiener Linien livery.

The expansion also includes the Gürtel tram depot, alongside authentic stops and street layouts. Together, these additions aim to deliver a more faithful recreation of Vienna’s everyday transport operations, rather than simply providing a new city to drive through.

For anyone who enjoys the routine of keeping passengers moving, there’s plenty of scope to appreciate the details while working through the three routes.
