The Classes And Squad Play Return
The four classic classes we all know and love are back, but now with a twist. You have more options than ever. You can pick and choose any type of primary weapon in each class. Want to play medic class with an assault rifle or LMG? You can pick either one. Want to play Assault with a SMG or LMG? You have the option to. Don't like the lack of stronger class identity with open weapons system? You have the option to play with class locked weapons. Customize and create your class to play the role you want to play in your squad. Work with your squad-mates to tackle objectives the best you way you see fit.

The Maps
Battlefield 6 features 5 Theaters of War and 9 Maps, with hand-crafted Combat Zones to maximize variety. Fight in iconic locations all over the world like Cairo, Brooklyn, Gibraltar and Tajikistan. Take to the skies with advances modern fighter jets in Mirak Valley and Operation Firestorm. Transform the environment with tank shells in New Sobek City. Engage in intense close quarters combat in the streets, offices, hotels and alleyways of Brooklyn, Gibraltar and Cairo.

It's pretty incredible that I was buying this on day one two weeks ago and now I want nothing to do with it.

Please let the gyro control options that were in the beta menu actually work in the final version. There's a part of me that's convinced they'll be removed rather than fixed!

Labs and beta were great so I preordered. Can't wait for the weekend.

Got the deluxe edition preloaded, ready to go. Should hit 300 in BF2042 before launch

So glad it's a holiday weekend too!

Played so much of 2042 to complete that free pass thing I forgot what the BF6 beta played like. It wasn't as bad as it was at launch but I'm glad to be done with that one.

I'm tempted to get. Are Battlefield games supported for a few years, or do they just release a new game every year?

Can't wait, will have most of the weekend to play it. Also have gaming night with my friends planned for the 25th, we've all been waiting on a game we can play together.

I really liked mostly everything about the beta apart from the size of maps. I'm going to wait launch out and see how things pan out. Too many small maps in the beta that didn't give me the battlefield feeling I'm looking for.

I agree, a lot of them did feel claustrophobic. Hopefully they'll be adding much larger maps…
I'm anticipating, as it's the closest BF has felt to BF4 than the recent ones, to me.

They release mainline entries like every 3-4 years with plenty of DLC inbetween

I can't find the post cause it was like from Twitter. But a dev posted that it's working and was asking for feedback on what else was expected. I'm just hoping they fixed some of the 90 degree stickiness on the "Flick Look" so we can actually have some real Flick Stick action. Been playing The Finals to train up. I wouldn't worry about it. Actually I intend on playing at launch, if it doesn't work I'll personally come back and say so lol

Interested to see what portal maps we'll get on day 1. All the ones influencers have shown off have looked great

Been YEARS since I played a Battlefield game, are the deathmatch modes meant for smaller maps and quicker games? Would love to have a shooter to jump into every now and then on the PS5 (and CoD has been meh for a long time now), but I'm not that interested in playing really long games. Although I guess with the high player counts I could just jump in and out of conquest modes too. Not like I'm going to make a much of a difference lmao, my aim with a controller is not great.

Yes, they are launching with tdm, domination, king of the hill types of modes. All on small maps with limited player counts.

I did the battlepass and while I didn't dislike as much 2042, the vehicles are a pain in the ass to deal with. You can be an engineer and don't have any tool to deal with them. Heli stealth is really annoying and some of the weapons of the tanks (e.g. incendiary mortar) are really powerful. I have a better time dealing with vehicles on BF6 beta

with the asteriks that that is supposed to change around '27/'28 if I remember correctly. But you should be good with BF6 until then.

Ain't gonna lie; popped off during the beta so I pre-ordered the $100 edition on Steam. I know I'm part of the problem but I'm a giant BF simp.

In Battlefield 3 (before the first big patch) I was mowing enemies down with that fucking tiny drone so now that real life warfare has transformed itself to heavy-usage of these kind of flying bastards... I feel that I have blood on my hands.

Anyway... looking forward to this game 'cause it has been waaaaaay too long for a good Battlefield experience. Vince Zampella can do no wrong when it comes to online first person shooters so hopefully I can gear up later this week and start NOT playing the objectives.
