Report: FromSoftware Deep Into Development on Unannounced Project Codenamed "FMC"
According to information we’ve been able to obtain, the Japanese studio FromSoftware — in addition to working on updates and DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign, as well as on an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2 called The Duskbloods — is also in the advanced stages of production on another, as-yet-unannounced project: a multiplatform game with the codename FMC (note that this is most likely an abbreviation of a longer codename).

Elden Ring Receives Update 1.26 But Not the Tarnished Edition
Update: Yep, FromSoftware did fix the arrow exploit among other bugs squashed.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the character would not display correctly when wearing the Gold Tattoo Chest armor with the Hide Helmet option toggled on.
- Fixed a bug where the left-hand graphics would not display correctly when using the Repeating Crossbow Skill while held in the left hand and holding Leontiel’s Greatsword in the right hand.
- Corrected some text in the credits.
- Fixed a bug where shooting Piquebone Arrows and Fletched Piquebone Arrows in a specific way would inflict status buildup.
- PS4 / PS5 only fixes enhanced security for network features.
Original Story:
First off, the maintenance period starts at 12:00 am PDT/3 am PDT/4 pm JST/9 am CEST and ends after three hours.
Of course, this could go on longer, but generally, FromSoftware sticks to their downtime schedule.
As for the patch, it should be a minor one, and we have a pretty good idea what’s being fixed. There is a known glitch/exploit spotted fairly recently that messes up PvP encounters in Elden Ring.
This bug allowed, Thanks to Arrow rain paired with Pique arrows, to instantly build up any status after a single hit. As you can see, this could very much mess up PvP fights.
So far, FromSoftware hasn’t released the patch notes, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this is included in the changelog.
Stay tuned to this article, as we’ll update it once the official changelog is live.
