The event runs from Oct. 14 to Oct. 18, including a group stage and playoffs.

• Oct. 14–16: Two groups with four teams in each. Via double-elimination brackets, the top two advance to the final bracket.
• Oct. 17–18: Playoffs, including semifinals, third-place match, and the grand final.

Falcons are the Cologne Major champions and one of the top trophy contenders at Thunderpick World Championship 2026. They might have difficulties winning events after the Major, but making it from groups is a must-do result for them.

Aurora Gaming looked incredibly strong at the most recent event, ESL Pro League Season 24. In the 3rd-place decider, they defeated Team Spirit. 

9z players have been struggling to hit their breakthrough level from the Cologne Major. NiP finished really low even in the global qualifier.

A few recent tournaments clearly show that FURIA players have difficulty in matches against other top teams. They lost to MOUZ at EPL Season 24, for example. In Group B, FURIA should still be fine — in theory.

Legacy have earned a nice VRS ranking thanks to their play at the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026. They won FISSURE Playground #3. However, EPL Season 24 went very differently for the team, as Legacy couldn’t advance from the Swiss stage.

PARIVISION is a team to use the shakiness of the two favorites. Their drop in results from the middle of 2026 looked like history at ESL Pro League S24. BetBoom Team had a pretty decent run at FISSURE Playground #3.
