The Jacob Javits Convention Center hosted another maxed-out New York Comic Con October 6-10, with "over 250,000 attendees" reported by the show.  A ReedPOP spokesperson confirmed that the count is of tickets (i.e., one person buying two one-day tickets is two attendees, one person buying a four-day ticket is one attendee), which produces a number between unique attendees (each individual counted as one regardless of the number of days they attend or how many tickets were used) and turnstile (the sum of each day's attendance at the show).

Booth scale and the quality of presentations was up this year, bringing the exhibit floor on a par with San Diego Comic-Con's, albeit with a different mix of exhibitors.  There were plenty of new or different exhibitors in the NYCC exhibit hall.  It seems to show more variety than San Diego Comic-Con, which has over 50 years of history to accommodate with the exhibitors it presents and a bigger percentage of the floor devoted to comics.

One observation, especially visible in this first photo set, was that live selling has exploded on the floor.  We counted five live selling platforms with major presences, including Whatnot, which had a larger, more elaborate booth this year.
