Every Colour Has Its Place
The objective sounds simple enough: move around each level in four directions, painting every tile you cross. The catch is that each colour must cover an exact number of spaces, so a careless detour could leave you struggling to complete the pattern.
Collecting spray cans changes your active colour permanently, opening up new possibilities while making route planning even more important. There’s also a clever twist to retracing your steps: crossing a tile already painted with the same colour removes the paint, allowing you to undo part of a route and rethink your approach.
Plan Your Route And Paint Carefully
Later puzzles introduce Blocking Tiles, which become inaccessible after being crossed, alongside Clean Tiles that must remain untouched. These extra rules mean every movement needs consideration, particularly when switching colours can completely change how you approach a level.
As always with an Afil Games game, Undo and Restart options let you experiment with different routes until everything fits, making the challenge about finding the right solution rather than avoiding failure.
Spray Trace is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC for £4.19 per version. If you enjoy puzzles that reward careful planning and a bit of creative thinking, it might be time to pick up the spray can and get to work.
