The Super Mario franchise's staying power is uncontested, even among Nintendo's excellent library of IP, and an upcoming release combines Super Mario Galaxy with Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Even as the series moves between 2D platformers, 3D adventure games, and experimental spin-offs, the biggest Super Mario games remain popular long after launch.
