CD Projekt Red 推送《巫师3》高清复刻版 5.01 补丁至 Switch 2,跨平台存档终可用
CD Projekt Red Brings The Witcher 3 Remastered Patch 5.01 to Switch 2 Late, but Cross-Platform Saves Finally Work
The Witcher 3 Remastered received its first proper patch earlier this month on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, but CD Projekt Red needed more time to deliver improvements for the Nintendo Switch 2 version. Today, the Polish developer finally delivered its promise, and the wait seems to have been worth it.
The 5.01 patch for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3 Remastered packs the same fixes we have seen on PC and the other current-generation consoles, as well as fixes specific to the Nintendo system:
- Made adjustments to image sharpening and resolution to improve visual clarity and fidelity.
- Fixed a rare crash that could occur when changing between in-game regions.
- Optimized cache handling for Cross-Platform Mod Support.
- Fixed an issue where HD Rumble could only be felt in the left Joy-Con 2 when climbing a ladder.
- Fixed an issue where map pins could be placed on the black bars surrounding the map.
While some of the above fixes may sound minor, they are extremely welcome. The optimized cache handling for Cross-Platform Mod support has been accompanied by a fix for cross-platform saves, which are finally working. This is an extremely important fix, as many are using the Nintendo Switch 2 version to continue their playthroughs on the go, while away from home gaming systems.
The biggest improvements, however, are in image sharpening and resolution. The excessive blur and low resolution in handheld mode are the most common criticisms of the Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3, so CDPR delivering improvements can only be welcome.
The launch of The Witcher 3 Remastered on PC and consoles is only the beginning for the third entry in the series. Sometime next year, CD Projekt Red will launch the Song of the Past expansion, the final adventure of Geralt of Rivia before he passes the torch to Ciri, who will be the main character of the next entry in the series, The Witcher 4.
