Jason & Lucia

Grand Theft Auto VI is releasing on November 19th, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It will be Rockstar’s first title since Red Dead Redemption 2 launched in 2018.

The game features Lucia and Jason, a ‘Bonnie & Clyde’-style pair who can engage in romance, skydive, jet-ski and more in Vice City. That is a Rockstar version of Miami, which was the place that GTA: Vice City took place.

The game’s pre-load is a big concern for fans, as the proposed girth of the title means it could be hundreds of gigabytes large. While do not know the installation size yet, we do know when it should be available for pre-load.

Loading Time

GTA 6’s preload should be available for both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation five on:

November 12th, 2026

That would mean that it is available exactly one week before the game launches on November 19th, 2026. For those interested in the title, there has been excellent reporting around the game’s development HERE. For those curious on when a PC port may come, the wait may be shorter than you were thinking.

A debate has cropped up around the game’s romance as well. With some feeling unease at the thought of their partner becoming overly infatuated with his in-game avatars romantic fate.

Are you going to preorder and preload GTA 6? Did you know on Xbox consoles you do not need to purchase a title to preload it? Simply find the game in the Xbox App on a mobile device and you can choose to remote install anything on the store.
