Speaking to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, GTA 6 developer Phil Hooker noted the team never considers its work on a game completely settled.
He pointed that work on Rockstar’s titles typically continues till the end, with the team having made changes at the very last moment in the past. Therefore, it seems the same approach is being taken with GTA 6.
The game is never completely settled. We never have an exact blueprint. Even within the last few months, we’ve changed things.
Of course, this practice isn’t unique to Rockstar Games. Because of how complicated and interesting game development usually is, projects are never really considered complete until the very last moment.
In fact, many games can change significantly between the review and launch period.
