EA宣布Marvel’s Iron Man与下一款Star Wars Jedi游戏仍在开发中

EA has announced that Marvel’s Iron Man from Motive and the next Star Wars Jedi game from Respawn are still in development. The announcement comes right on the heels of EA laying off 400 staffers and shutting down BioWare.

In a statement, EA commented on its portfolio, and touched on the cancellation of the next Mass Effect as well as a new game from Respawn and DICE, rumored to be Star Wars Battlefront III. It comments on other games in development, saying:

“Action-adventure is one of the most competitive and high-stakes genres in the industry, where every game needs our full weight behind it. We’re continuing to deliver on our two huge launches coming up with Marvel’s Iron Man and the next Star Wars Jedi game. Beyond that, we will concentrate our efforts on fewer simultaneous, large-scale projects, ensuring that every game we build in this space is fully set up for success.

The most recent Star Wars Jedi game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Steam page describes it as follows:

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third-person, galaxy-spanning, action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times — but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?
