Witness the Horrors in Deep Siren
Dionous Games and developer Made From Strings are taking players into the depths of Lovecraftian terror with Deep Siren, a hand-drawn horror adventure set during World War II. A new gameplay trailer has arrived, giving horror fans their first detailed look at the game’s unsettling puzzles, eerie underwater environments, and supernatural nightmares.
The game follows Alexander Calder, the sole survivor of the U.S.S. Siren, whose encounter with a mermaid stranded at sea leads him into a terrifying world of supernatural horrors lurking beneath the waves. Drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft and classic creature features, Deep Siren mixes eerie underwater environments with unusual creature designs and a stylized, hand-drawn art style.
The newly released trailer highlights some of the game’s key mechanics, including an unusual puzzle system that requires players to close their eyes to figure out what’s real and what’s not. Players will also encounter puzzles scattered throughout the strange underwater world, where uncovering the truth may prove just as frightening as the horrors themselves.
Beyond its unsettling gameplay, Deep Siren promises a complete voiceover experience, an original soundtrack with a cinematic feel, and collectible secrets that unlock cosmetic changes for the game’s HUD. However, players should expect mature themes, as the developers have warned of violence and horror throughout the experience.
For those interested in checking it out, the free Deep Siren demo launched on Steam on October 16, 2026. Players can also try it during Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 19 to 26.
