No, Dawn of War 4 has not been announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or Nintendo Switch 2. According to the game’s official website, the only confirmed launch platform is PC via Steam.

The decision isn’t particularly surprising given the series’ PC-focused history. Dawn of War 4 returns to traditional RTS gameplay, combining base construction, resource management and large-scale battles with four playable factions: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons and Adeptus Mechanicus.

The developers have also confirmed that gamepad controls won’t be available at launch, suggesting that the initial release is designed specifically around mouse-and-keyboard controls.

Could Dawn of War 4 Release on PS5 or Xbox Later?

Although a console release hasn’t been confirmed, a future PS5 or Xbox version hasn’t been explicitly ruled out.

KING Art Games has previous experience bringing strategy games to consoles. Its earlier RTS, Iron Harvest, received PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, demonstrating that the studio has experience adapting complex strategy controls for gamepads.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Dawn of War 4 will follow the same path. The developer’s immediate focus remains the PC release, with a substantial post-launch roadmap featuring Crusade Mode, new maps, additional Commanders, a Mission Editor and story expansions.

Developed by KING Art Games and published by Deep Silver, the upcoming real-time strategy game marks the return of the long-running series, featuring four playable factions, extensive campaigns and traditional base-building mechanics. PC remains the only confirmed platform, and there is currently no PS5 or Xbox release date.
