ARC Raiders is about to celebrate its first anniversary, and it has already been hit with plenty of "dead game" accusations. Around this time last year, ARC Raiders was the talk of the town. Its massive launch had many convinced that extraction shooters were the future of gaming. Fast-forward a year later, and that doesn't exactly seem to be the case. Direct competitors like Marathon have launched since then, struggling to reach the same heights that ARC Raiders did. Even ARC Raiders has seen a significant drop in players, hence the "dead game" label. That's far from the actual reality of the situation, though, and the Frozen Trail update proves that ARC Raiders is still doing quite well.
