HYTE 的 “NEXUS” 定制应用上线，支持原生 Linux

A week back, hardware and accessory manufacturer HYTE launched their newest customisation software “NEXUS” after an extended beta-testing period. This new application prioritizes an open-source ecosystem that features component monitoring, in-depth personalisation, and industry-leading compatibility for various hardware parts—and it supports a whole host of operating systems, including native Linux support!

As the company puts it:

NEXUS is completely rewritten from scratch. Compared to Nexus 2.0, this new version is extremely lightweight at less than 50MB at launch and only accounts for 0.1-1% usage on any CPU, GPU, and RAM on a PC. At launch, users can monitor system performance down to the individual component to see how it is using resources.

NEXUS can also detect conflicting applications and shut them down, so you have one central app without jugging between different software. This software also promises even more personalization on offer, as NEXUS still uses the OpenRGB SDK to sync system lighting, and compatibility for various external displays, allowing users to control their screens as they please.

“With HYTE continually embracing transparency and openness with our hardware, we felt now was the time to apply that philosophy to our software, building a new, open-source application that focuses on performance, privacy and empowering the community to reclaim control over their PCs, cutting down their bloat.” said Nicola Geretti, Chief Technology Officer (Software) at HYTE.

• Remote Control – Pair your system with NEXUS’ web client, or through our official mobile app, to remotely monitor and adjust your PC from afar.
• FPS Tracking – Automatically track FPS for your favorite games, and review the average FPS, 1% lows, session history, and performance over time.
• Real-Time Diagnostics – NEXUS watches temperatures, storage, memory, GPU, fans, and pumps actively. If your hardware needs attention, it will alert you if it detects an issue.
• NEXUS Widgets – Personalize your displays with widgets made directly from our software to monitor system information, media, and more. Widgets can be applied to your monitor, AIO screen, and external / internal displays, with support for new screens to be added over time.
• Native Linux Support – HYTE’s leading products are also compatible with the Linux ecosystem through Nexus. This means Nexus’ full suite of personalization and monitoring functionality can be accessed whether you’re on Linux or Windows.
